A step-by-step guide to connecting your tours with GetYourGuide using Tour Amigo.

Getting started with GetYourGuide

To start selling your tours on GetYourGuide, you’ll first need to register as a supplier and list the products you want to make available. GetYourGuide provides a detailed guide on this process.

Once your products are listed, you’ll need to connect Tour Amigo as your reservation system so bookings can flow directly into your account. Guidance on this step is available here below.

This webpage focuses on the Tour Amigo setup required to complete the connection. Follow the steps below to add GetYourGuide as a distribution partner, configure your tours correctly, and ensure your products are ready to go live on GetYourGuide.

Tour Amigo Configuration

In order for your tours to connect properly, you will need to add GetYourGuide as a Distribution Partner and distribute the relevant tours to it.

 

1. Navigate to Operations > Distribution Partners on the sidebar when logged in to Tour Amigo.

2. From here, select 'Add Tour Amigo Distribution Partner'

3. Find GetYourGuide in the list and select 'Add as Distribution Partner'

4. Fill in the relevant details and save the partner. Pay close attention to the Internal Journey in particular. Make sure you set this; it is required for GetYourGuide bookings, and this is also how the currency for your GetYourGuide bookings will be selected.

(Note that GetYourGuide journeys only exist for GBP, AUD, USD, CAD, NZD or EUR. If you require another currency, a new journey on the GetYourGuide partner will need to be made for that currency!).

5. Finally, you must distribute the tours you want to be connected to GetYourGuide through this distribution partner. To do this, first go to Tour Management > Manage Tours.

6. Then, select 'Tour Instances' on the tour you wish to distribute to GetYourGuide, and on the instance manager sidebar, select 'Distribution'.

7. You may choose to alter the distribution in bulk, or for a single instance by selecting 'Add Allocation' in the list. You may then create your distribution, and once that is done, you can connect your product using the GetYourGuide connectivity portal.

GetYourGuide Configuration

When connecting a product on GetYourGuide through the API, when asked for a product ID, you will need to provide the reference shown on your whitelabel site (generally yourcompanyname.touramigo.com) when viewing your tour, located here:
