Filter by Date When Running Reports
This feature improves the existing Date Range button used when viewing reports. When creating a report, you can now choose which date field the Date Range filter will apply to when the report is run.
This makes it easier to quickly run a pre-built report for a specific time period. It is particularly useful when viewing reports created by other users, as you can filter them by date without needing to edit the report itself.

Adding ‘Date Range’ filter to a report
Go to Reporting > Reports
Click on the Modules button next to the report
Click on edit next to the Module
Open the Create x section (where ‘x’ is table, card or chat)
Choose the desired value from the Date Range Column dropdown
When viewing the report and applying a date range, the results will be filtered based on the dates in this column
Note: the values in the Date Range Column dropdown will vary depending on the table(s) included in your report. For example, if the Bookings table is used, the available date columns will relate to booking data:

Running a report with ‘Date Range’
Go to Reporting > Reports
Click View next to the report
In the top-right corner, click the Date Range button
Select a date from the dropdown, either:
A predefined range, or
A custom date range
Click Run Report
The report will refresh and the Date Range button will update to display the currently applied date range.
The report data will be filtered using the Date Range Column selected when the report was created, according to the date range chosen when running the report.
For example, the bookings report below is configured with ‘departure date’ as the Date Range Column and displays bookings with departure dates that fall within the ‘Last Day’

Reports with multiple modules
If a report contains multiple modules, each module will be filtered independently using its configured Date Range Column.
If multiple modules have a Date Range Column set, each module will filter its data based on its own selected column.
If only one module has a Date Range Column set, only that module will be filtered by the selected date range. Other modules will display their data without date filtering.
For example, the report below contains:
A Confirmed Bookings table with Departure Date as the Date Range Column
A Cancelled Bookings table with Cancellation Date as the Date Range Column
If the Quarter 1 date range is selected, each table will display bookings with dates that fall within that period based on their respective date columns.
