What's new?

The Date of Birth (DOB) field will no longer be pre-filled with a default date of 1 January 1980. Instead, the field will be blank and must be completed before a booking can proceed.

What this means for you

• Enter the correct day, month and year for each passenger.

• A booking cannot be completed if a DOB is missing or incomplete.

• Future dates and invalid dates will be rejected.

• For customers with a saved DOB in their profile, the date will continue to be populated automatically.

Why have we made this change?

Removing the default date helps prevent inaccurate passenger information from being added to bookings when the DOB has not been explicitly provided.

This change applies to all types of booking through your booking journey, and applies to all passengers on the booking.
